The 2 Speed Gearbox family of products offers the perfect balance of speed performance and price. They extend the constant power speed range of machine tool spindle drive motors, providing high torque at low speed for hogging out steel or titanium, and high speed for finishing aluminum.
2 Speed Gearbox Designs :
MSD, a conventional design where the motor and gearbox are mounted outside of the headstock and the spindle is driven by belts or gearing. RAM-MSD HiT, an in-line version integrated into the RAM between motor and spindle. MSR, a unique solution for driving a VTL (VTC) turntable in Turning and C-Axis mode.
