Shaping units are especially suitable for shaping steel and various alloys and are used for drawn wires to produce precision wires. With this modular system, both square and rectangular profiles can be rolled. However, other profiles can also be rolled with the easy-to-change roller systems.
A big advantage of these units is the reduction of necessary production area, as here both the thickness and the width can be influenced in one step. Very often, shaping units are used in combination with flat-rolling and edging stands in multi-stand lines. Mostly as a completion of the complete rolling process.
The flexibility of these systems comes from the individual adjustment of the 4 independently acting roller rolls.
